About Me

Hi, I’m Kojo — the creator of FoodbyKojo.

My love for food started early. I grew up in Ghana with my maternal grandmother, who is Caribbean and a professional caterer. She catered for well-known organisations such as Barclays, The British Council, and MultiChoice Group , just to name a few. From a young age, I was right there in the kitchen, helping her prepare food for large corporate events and annual cocktail parties.

Those moments shaped me. Watching her work taught me valuable culinary skills, discipline, and a deep respect for food — but most importantly, it sparked a lifelong love and passion for cooking.

As I grew older, that passion only increased. In my teenage years, I became the one responsible for cooking Christmas and Easter dinners for family, as well as hosting BBQs for friends. Cooking became my way of bringing people together and creating memories.

Now living in London, that passion evolved even further. During lockdown, I decided to turn my love for cooking into something more and started FoodbyKojo as a food blog — a space to share flavour-packed dishes, creativity, and cultural influences through food.

Today, FoodbyKojo is all about bold flavours, comfort food, and easy-to-follow recipes inspired by my journey and heritage. I’m also excited to be working on my own range of sauces, which will be launching soon — bringing the flavours of FoodbyKojo straight to your kitchen.
