This is a sauce that originated from Bologna in Italy, it’s a very quick Italian cuisine eaten with spaghetti and made with a tomato sauce and minced meat and topped with cheese, enjoy!
Spaghetti Bolognese
Ingredients.
- Olive oil
- Minced meat
- Onions chopped
- Garlic chopped
- Tomatoes diced
- Tomato purée
- Carrots chopped
- Green beans chopped
- Parsley for garnish
- Salt
- Chili flakes
- Stock cube
- Red wine
- Cheese
Method.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet on medium heat.
- Add minced meat and stir to break up lumps on medium-high heat until brown.
- Remove minced from skillet and place aside.
- Add teaspoon of oil and heat, add chopped onions and garlic and stir till onions are golden.
- Transfer cooked minced meat and vegetable to onions and garlic and stir.
- Add chopped tomatoes, stock cube, tomato purée and red wine and season well, bring to a simmer for about 45 minutes or until sauce thickens.
- Remove from heat and serve with spaghetti, sprinkle with grated cheese and garnish with parsley.
