Steak in a garlic and red wine sauce

This a quick dish, packed with flavour. When well seasoned with garlic and red wine, it adds a rich touch to this dish. This is delicious with spinach and any form of potatoes as an accompaniment. Always rest your steak after cooking it makes it juicy and easy to slice. Enjoy 😉


Ingredients.

  • Sirloin Steak
  • Onions
  • Garlic
  • Coarse sea salt
  • Black peppercorns crushed
  • Red wine
  • Red Chilli
  • Bay leaves
  • Olive oil
  • Spinach

Method.

  • Drizzle steak with olive oil, sea salt and crushed peppercorns.
  • Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add steak and reduce heat to medium.
  • Cook steak on each side for 3 minutes or until your desired choice.
  • In the same skillet add crushed garlic, onions, bay leaves, chills and red wine .
  • Cook for another 2 minutes or until red wine has reduced.
  • Remove steak and allow to rest.
  • Add spinach and stir into remaining ingredients in skillet for an additional 1 minute.
  • Remove spinach with other ingredients and serve with steak and fries.
  • Enjoy!
